Discovering the Southern Ridges...

Henderson Waves.. Distance: 0.3km.. Walking Time: 5mins

@ 36m above Henderson Road, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore.. It was built to connect Mt Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park..

The bridge has a unique wave-form made up of 7 undulating curved steel "ribs" tat alternately rise over n under its deck.. The curved "ribs" frm alcoves tat function as shelters wif seats within..

Slats of yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in South-East Asia, r used in the decking.. Look out for carvings on the slats marking the height u r @ on various points along the bridge..

The wave-forms will b lit wif attractive LED lights frm 7pm to 2am daily, giving the bridge an illuminative glow..

Here's some of the pics I took using my hp when Im high up there... hahahahahaha....
